Anytime, anywhere. You may suddenly find yourself on camera – intentionally or unintentionally. With everyone having a camera in their pocket, everyone suddenly thinks they are a director, journalist, newscaster, podcaster, influencer, cameraman.

We all know with the ease of recording and the availability of the internet, being on camera is simply part of our world. There are any number of ways you may find yourself in front of a lens and microphone.

-You want to start your new career with a video blog about solo hiking and travel.

- You need to film yourself for a job interview or audition.

Here are some questions to ask yourself:

- Do you like the way you look on camera?

- Do you know the best way to speak into a microphone?

- Do you like the sound of your voice?

- Do you speak clearly?

David Barringer Wins Literary Prize!

My son, David Barringer, won the prestigious Black List Literary Prize for 2025 Unpublished Novel Award in the Horror category. T he Black List ,(not to be confused with the television series), recently announced the winners of its Unpublished Novel Award. They previously have focused on screenplays and scripts. The winners in each of the seven novel categories will be awarded $10,000.
