A Year Goes By and What Did You Do?

Dave Barringer, my son and prolific writer, wrote this poem a while ago. Pretty much says it all...

There is a day with your name on it

There is a stone for your years

There is space in the earth for you

There is silence for your fears.

There is nothing that’s given

There is life, there is luck

There is the time that you live in

So don’t waste it, you f*ck.
